╯Emotion Control |
 |
 |
A conversation may become more enjoyable if the robot, rather than speaking with an emotionless face, expressed such basic emotions as joy, anger, sorrow and comfort, and gave different responses accordingly.
Thus, our robot expresses ﹍emotions﹎, which are controlled by the ﹍Emotion Model﹎
The ﹍Emotion Model﹎ includes four emotion units; joy, anger, sorrow and comfort, whose interaction determines the ﹍current emotion﹎.
The speech context of the user (judged by CAIWA control), the speech tone (judged by the CAIWA control), and expressions of the user then (judged by the ﹍expression recognition﹎ system) are thought to be the input (or stimulus) to the emotion model.
The ﹍Emotion Recognition﹎ system is designed to detect seven types of emotions. With this system alone such a game as ﹍Imitate the user﹊s face﹎ can be enjoyed.
